Kelloggs Rice Krispie Treat Bird's Nests #PreschoolActivities
I like to pretend that I'm a great baker, but actually I'm not. Icing can hide a multitude of kitchen mistakes though. I was inspired to make a no-bake treat with my Princess in honour of our Easter celebrations this weekend.
For this activity I used the original Rice Krispie Treat recipe located on the cereal box as inspiration. Instead of the recommended 1/4 cup of margarine, I used 1/4 chocolate syrup and 2 tablespoons of margarine. I also omitted the vanilla extract.
Line muffin pans with paper liners and spray with a small amount of non stick spray. Fill with 2 heaping tablespoons of prepared Rice Krispie Treat mixture. Top with candy, icing, or sprinkles.
Other items used include:
muffin pan liners
jelly beans
candy coated chocolate eggs
prepared icing in any colour you choose
marshmallow chicks
Yields about 24-36 treats depending on how big you make them.
