Holiday fundraising campaign supporting women and children. #HostingForHope
I recently received information about a fundraising campaign that is being hosted by The Canadian Women's Foundation:
Press Information November 2013
Hosting For Hope which will help more than 30,000 women and children across Canada rebuild their lives after abuse. In partnership with The Canadian Women’s Foundation, Winners and HomeSense have been carrying a selection of festive holiday fundraising merchandise to be sold in-store as of November 1st. These Hosting for Hope gifts are priced under $20 with a portion of the proceeds going towards the Foundation.
Canadians can show their support by visiting their local HomeSense or Winners store and purchasing one of the Hosting for Hope products designed exclusively in support of ending violence against women. This year’s featured products include items themed around the holiday season, including a mini Xmas tree, plush owl, candle sets, scarves and mitts. For a full list of items and prices please see the list below.
To learn more about how you can help this holiday season to end violence against women, visit www.canadianwomen.orgI browsed through the product list and see a few items that could spread some Holiday cheer while supporting a great cause. In fact, the mini Christmas tree for $9.99 would make a pretty centerpiece on my table.
