Techno Owl is a Hoot! {Review & Giveaway CAN 09/16} @Hallmark_canada #PressPausePanel

My girl has been thinking about Fall celebrations for the last two weeks. It's hard for me to get in the mood for picking fleece or polyester costumes when the humidex reads 35 degrees celcius.  Hallmark Canada gave me box of Halloween props to review and this has helped us get into the spirit of the season a little early.

Techno Owl was one of her favourite Hallmark Canada toys so far this season (I have more tucked away for October). He sings a parody of the original song by Rockwell in 1984, "Somebody's Watching Me".  His eyes shift back and forth as he sings and a set of glowing eyes appear intermittently in the plush tree stump. At first my girl thought the music was "creepy" and she was startled by the glowing eyes. By the second or third time pushing the button to activate Techno Owl, she was giggling and singing along.  The words are listed on his tag so we can sing a long:

I'm just a little owl
Who Loves to trick-or-treat
But I get the feeling someone's
Out to get my sweets
I always feel like
Somebody's watchin' me
Do they want my candy?
I always feel like
Somebody's watching me
Gotta guard it carefully
Whooo's after my candy?
Maybe yooooooou?
