Choo Choo! After years of anticipation I will be surprising my little Princess with tickets for a very fun event occurring the last two weekends of July. She is in love with Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. We have dozens of DVD's, books, die-cast trains, track sets, and even a frilly tutu Thomas costume.
Thomas the Tank Engine® is pulling into the station for a larger than life experience at the St. Thomas – Elgin Memorial Centre for Day Out With Thomas®: The Go Go Thomas Tour 2013. This fun-filled event offers little engineers and their families the opportunity to take a ride with Thomas the Tank Engine, star of the popular Thomas & Friends® series. In addition, children will meet Sir Topham Hatt®, Controller of the Railway and enjoy a day of Thomas-themed activities including arts & crafts, storytelling and more. The tour, now in its 18 th year, is expected to welcome nearly one million passengers in 2013 and will make stops in more than 45 US cities, and four in Canada, including St. Thomas as it’s only Ontario stop. Proceeds from this event support the Elgin County Railway Museum, who is hosting the event for the 9th consecutive year. (Press Release July 2013)
